Helping clients heal from trauma sometimes necessitates being able to acknowledge when a client is not stable enough to participate in outpatient therapy. At those times, it is important to be able to connect clients with inpatient services that will help the client achieve greater stability and increase their capacity to sufficiently manage their symptoms in order to continue with outpatient therapeutic work. While Minnesota does not currently have any programs that offer inpatient or residential trauma stabilization, there are many good programs around the country:
